About Muntaha Baba
Muntaha Baba is a dedicated Peace Educator, Social Activist, and Women Empowerment Advocate committed to empowering young people, promoting peace education, and challenging polarizing narratives in Kashmir. With a deep belief in the power of education, dialogue, and community engagement, she has devoted her efforts to building a more inclusive, informed, and peaceful society. Her work reflects a strong commitment to nurturing responsible youth leadership and encouraging meaningful participation in social change.
As the Founder of the Khatoon Initiative and Director at ARUVA Foundation, Muntaha Baba has played a key role in designing and leading initiatives that focus on youth empowerment, social responsibility, women’s leadership, and constructive community dialogue. Through the Khatoon Initiative, she has actively worked toward women’s empowerment, skill development, and peace promotion, creating opportunities for women and young girls to gain confidence, learn practical skills, and become self-reliant contributors to society. Her efforts emphasize the importance of giving women a platform to express themselves, build leadership abilities, and actively participate in shaping their communities.

Muntaha Baba is a five-time National Gold Medalist in Martial Arts, reflecting her dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence from an early age. She has also been recognized as a Josh Talks Speaker, where she shared her journey and inspired audiences with her message of resilience, empowerment, and social responsibility. As a committed philanthropist and social advocate, she has consistently contributed to community welfare, youth development, and women’s empowerment initiatives.
Her impactful work has earned her the prestigious Youngest Women Achievers Award, presented by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir, recognizing her outstanding contribution to society and her leadership at a young age.
