Building Leaders, Promoting Peace, Inspiring Change

I am a Peace Educator and Social Activist dedicated to empowering youth, promoting peace education, and challenging polarizing narratives in Kashmir. As the Founder of the Khatoon Initiative and Director at ARUVA Foundation, I work to strengthen communities through education, dialogue, and youth engagement.

The Khatoon Initiative, led by Muntaha Baba, focuses on women’s empowerment, skill development, and peace promotion, creating opportunities for women to build confidence, gain practical skills, and become active contributors to their communities. Through this initiative, I have worked to create awareness around social responsibility, women’s leadership, and meaningful community dialogue.

My work centers on shifting conversations in a region that is often misunderstood. By promoting critical thinking, civic engagement, and peace-oriented dialogue, I aim to encourage understanding, empathy, and responsible participation among young people and community members.

Over the years, I have participated in several national-level forums and collaborative programs addressing key social issues, including peace education, menstrual health awareness, mental well-being, and anti-drug campaigns. These engagements have strengthened my commitment to building inclusive spaces where dialogue leads to solutions.

Driven by the belief that small voices can create meaningful change, I actively use social media platforms to amplify truth, accountability, and empathy across communities. My mission is to inspire individuals—especially youth and women—to become agents of peace, leadership, and positive social transformation.
